The Light
February 2023 Paint and Posca Markers on Canvas 16" x 20" For this artwork, I wanted to show who I am. Some of the things I like are in my artwork. I included ideas from my favorite movies in the piece. I included a goose because it is actually one of my favorite animals to show for a 4-H project. I wanted to include colors that made this artwork pop compared to my other projects as well. I wanted this artwork to show my personality and what my likes are.

Silvia
March 2023 Paint on Canvas 20" x 16" For this artwork, I wanted to show how much my first rabbit meant to me. This artwork is a tribute to my chubby bunny because she was a sweet, but sassy rabbit. We played games with a little plastic comb and a plastic bowl. She helped me calm down after a breakdown. She helped me when I lost my first dog emotionally. These are the reasons why I made this artwork of her.

To the Mateers
October 2023 Paint and Posca-markers on Canvas 20" x 20" I made this art piece to be a thank you for an award I was given over the summer by one of the major Clarke County 4-H families. They have been a part of 4-H for well over thirty years. I believe they will be as thankful for this artwork as I was for that award. This artwork is the best way that I could think of to say thank you for that marvelous award that normally goes to a senior member of 4-H. The colors of this piece is to represent 1st place in ribbons or banners. My mineral feeder picture is to represent the static part for this painting. It is also to show appreciation for them because they are a cattle family.

Leaves of Love
November 2023 Mixed Media Painting on Canvas 36" x 20" This piece of artwork is to help people view my dogs and where they may be placed within our household. The dogs each have their place within the house and their areas on the canvas. The dogs are each loved, but for different reasons, and not by everyone in the household either.
Each of the dogs has their own personalities as well and that is reflected in the pictures that I used for each of them. Denahi is the wild child of the dogs that we own. Magnus is the “youngest” and very demanding. Nita is the hyper one and has middle-child syndrome, so she does her own thing which is jumping off of everything. The other dogs are pretty chill. Kenai is the antisocial one out of them all. These are how each of the dogs is placed in my mom’s way. |
Polluted Ocean
December 2023 Mixed Media Painting on Canvas 36" x 36" This piece was created to help people realize what we are doing to the ocean. All of the plastic that we use daily, turned the place that each of us cares for into a dump. The sea will not look beautiful anymore with time, it could take 3 years, and it could take more. The ocean is what makes our planet what it looks like. The reason we see the green grass, could not be done without it.

Turbines Kill
February 2024 Mixed Media Painting on Canvas 18” x 18” This piece is for all of the birds affected by human negligence each year. We do not realize the impact of the things we create do to the natural environment. The turbines in this piece kill over ten thousand birds and bats per year. Some of the birds killed are our nation's pride and joy, the Bald Eagle. Others include the hawks and pelicans people enjoy to look at. This whole artwork is to show how our “greatest” inventions, are also the wildlife’s greatest downfall.

Coffee v.s. Trees
April 2024 Mixed Media on Canvas 24" x 20" My artwork is to show people what their addictions are doing to the world around us. Coffee is one of the main things many people are addicted to and have been causing forests to disappear from the world as we know it. This piece is to show people why humans have a horrible impact on the wildlife around us, that is not just affecting the animals, but the plants as well.

Oiled Ocean
May 2024 Mixed Media on Canvas " x " Oiled Ocean is an artwork about how animals are being trapped in oil from boats. Oil spills are one of the contributing factors to pollution in the ocean. The spills are killing the plants from heating the ocean because of the chemicals in the oil. As a potential future marine biologist, I care about the health of the plants and animals in the ocean and that is why I created this canvas to inform other people about the dangers our ocean has encountered because of the negligence of people.
